Creationists Get Silly With It

So browsing a forum the other day I stumbled across the following on Richard Dawkins site. For those unfamiliar with Richard Dawkins, he is the Author for the God Delusion. The top video on Peanut Butter should give a good laugh to anyone familiar with and who understands the theory of Evolution. Then after thinking about it you should be very concerned that there are millions of people who actually believe this guy and will not only argue with you based on the silliness presented there, but want to have this kind of nonsense to be a part of school curriculums.

Oh and the Banana argument...

and rebut:

My suggestion to anyone who actually believes in biblical creationism to not ever repeat what you saw here in an argument. Well except the last link. Really. Just don't do it.

Creationism is a concept of faith, not peculiar to just Christianity.
Evolution is science.

Apples and pears.

Just because some people blur the lines, doesn't take away the fact that they can be taught separately as two different world views.

Evolution is not a "world view" it is a scientific theory. That means that it is an explanation that is supported (or debunked) by facts and study.

Creationism is not subject to 'verity" and is taken as "fact" on the basis of someone's say so.

You cannot teach creationism as "science" because creationism, by definition is not science. Creationism, in whatever form should remain within' the realm of religious "study" but ought to be banned from any scientific discourse. Just as it is now banned to discuss with any seriousness at all that the sun revolves around the sun.

one can have the "worldview" that the sun circles the earth, but that would be a fantasy and sane people ought not to be teaching fantasy as fact.

Besides, As indicated in the piece, Those attempting to dubunk the theory of evolution clearly have no clue as to what the theory of evolution is. That first video is so wrong on so many points it's alarming.

Apart from the definition of worldview i think you will find that we are saying the same thing.
