So I wake up this morning and find that a winner in the US election has not been announced. This is something unprecedented, at least in my lifetime. I went to look at why this was the case figuring that some west coast state which due to time zone differences were still counting votes due to close races. But no, I see states on the east coast not reporting.
What?
I see announcements from state election officials saying that they won't announce anything and some won't be done for days?
What?
No state east of the Mississippi should be late reporting. There is no excuse for this.
How is Georgia not done (as of 7AM)? How is North Carolina not done? HOW?
I did not care for the whole "voting season" because I find it unconstitutional. Election day is the first Tuesday. Period. We have had "ballot drop boxes" destroyed. We have already had mail delivery persons dumping ballots. I don't care WHO they voted for, this is unacceptable third world bullshit.
We had the person responsible for PA elections declare that Biden had won the state prior to a single election day ballot had been cast. What the entire F*** is that?
We had court decisions where ballots can arrive AFTER election day even without proper postmarks. No ballot validation. I mean how is this the proper conduct for an election? This is open to outright fraud in either direction. This is unacceptable.
We saw the video from Minneapolis where fraudulent ballot collection was busted. You know full well that there are parties that will take advantage of this situation to "find ballots" in order to get the outcome they want. Again, this is unacceptable.
Lastly that the NYT declaring that the "media" is who declares the winner is also indicative of the raw corruption out here. The press doesn't declare or determine the winner. The state electoral departments determine these things. The media REPORTS the outcome. That is all. Even NPR this morning said that the AP has not declared the winner. Who the f*** is the AP? The AP isn't the government body running elections. I don't look to the AP for results. I look to state election officials.
I will repeat my call for real election reform:
Election day should be a national holiday. Ballot casting should be allowed from 12AM to 11:59PM on election day. All voters must have ID. All election material should be in English and English only. Citizenship requires English proficiency.
Mail in ballots are only for the disabled or others who are physically unable to make it to a balloting location. They must be marked by the day before election day and should be priority delivered to election offices.
Absentee ballots can only be cast by US citizens outside the US and only if they are unable to make it to a US embassy. Military personnel who are out of the country on deployment should be able to vote on whatever base they are assigned to. Those on ships should be able to vote on ship with results sent via secure comms to election officials.
Everyone else votes on election day if they so choose.
Enough of this third world nonsense.
